不幸的是,現在大家連正版專輯都不太買了,何況是其他類型的產品,例如,演唱會DVD。不是公司或藝人不願意發行,而是真的沒有辦法recouperate這樣的投資。Intellectual property的這個business現在越來越難做因為很多人不懂得尊重智慧財產這個東西。
在兩岸三地特別難經營因為華人對智慧財產特別的不了解和尊重。加上,我們又沒有一個很完善的收費機制造成目前的惡性循環。
因此,No consumption = no market = no product (e.g., live concert DVD) = no diversity = no consumption. All this creates a vicious cycle.
The main problem is that the concert videos take a lot of money to produce. You have the video and the audio portion.
Both of which need to be produced, edited and assembled and mixed to create a master. It's a production process and requires a budget.
I hope this helps in understanding the entire process of things. Everything costs money to produce.
If we cut costs and do a mickey mouse job then we get flack and criticism from the consumer which perpetuates the vicious cycle.
